Oscea is seeking a Managing Editor to join the team. This role will work closely with the founder, writers, and social team to develop content for the website and social platforms and help execute the strategy for monetization activation. Content will include written blog posts, essays, e-books and online glossary content highlighting key research, shoppable products and insight into ethical fashion, clean beauty, eco home, nontoxic baby, organic wellness & travel topics.  This role will also conduct outreach initiatives to recruit & manage writers, experts, and interns.  The ideal candidate will keep the pulse on these industries and help create a well-rounded, well-informed resource for conscious consumers and ultimately a marketplace for conscious products and brands.  

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Journalism, Marketing, or Sustainability.

- Excellent writing skills and meticulous attention to detail regarding sources & research.

- Passionate about the ethics, politics, science, and sustainability in the fashion, beauty, home, wellness, baby and/or travel industries.

- Shopify, Social Media, and digital marketing or SEO skills are a plus!

- Proven ability to effectively recruit, manage, inspire and motivate a team including freelance writers, experts, and interns.

- Outstanding time management skills and highly organized with self and team.

- Eternal optimist who will bring positivity everyday to the unique challenges of a start-up.

- Able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week and work remotely.

Job Responsibilities Include:

- Contribute at least one article per week.

- Edit contributing writers articles

- Maintain content calendar and oversee content goals determined by founder.

- Recruit, manage, & delegate assignments to freelance writers, experts and eco-influencers.

- Collaborate with social media team to promote articles on Instagram, Facebook, & Pinterest.

Oscea is seeking a Sustainability Consultant to join the team. This role will work closely with the founder to research, analyze and write content for the website; specifically impact reports where key figures with research are key.  Content will also include written blog posts, ebooks, and shopping guides highlighting key research in the ethical fashion, beauty & home goods, wellness, & travel markets. This role will also assist with branded pitch books and decks for outreach initiatives.  We are seeking a consultant to help keep the pulse on the ethics and policies that drive sustainable consumerism.

Qualifications:

-Must be a Sustainability, Biology, Environmental Science, Law, or Journalism major; Graduate degree preferred.

- Access to current research and passion for staying up to date with current news & reports.

- Excellent writing skills and meticulous attention to detail regarding sources.

- Passionate about the ethics, politics, science, and sustainability in the fashion, beauty, home, wellness, baby and/or travel industries.

Responsibilities Include:

Summer Internship Program

Oscea offers a 12 week summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students looking to gain experience in digital media and contribute towards the research, editorial and content production areas on the Oscea platform and its' various social media channels. Work is conducted remotely with several in-person workshop opportunities in NYC for team collaboration.
